Staircase Railing Replacement

Staircase Railing Replacement

The owners were looking to update their staircase with a cleaner, more modern railing that better matched the home’s decor. The existing rail had been in place since the 1980s.

We fabricated the woodwork and tested assembly in the Crose & Lemke mill shop. By completing as much of the work in the shop as possible, we facilitated schedules and reduced the level of disruption to the homeowner. (Especially important, since bedrooms were located on the second floor.)

We used cherry and paint grade maple for the railing and skirt treads. We also installed new carpet runners.

Balusters and posts were painted white and handrails were stained to match the home's other woodwork. The end result is a staircase with clean lines and accent colors that better complement the rest of the interiors.
